Preservation Workshop in Partnership with California Preservation Foundation

Preserve Orange County and the state advocacy group, the California Preservation Foundation, hosted "The Preservationist Toolkit" at the Mission San Juan Capistrano on February 8, 2018. Over thirty residents, city planners, and preservation advocates from throughout the region gathered for the day-long workshop. Historic resource professionals from area firms made up the panel as well as our own board members, Deborah Rosenthal and Don Dooley. Topics covered included the California Environmental Quality Act, preservation technology and design, the Secretary of the Interior Standards and Guidelines, historic resources surveys, multi-media and preservation advocacy, and the role of local government.
